Firesand are thrilled to announce that we have achieved ISO 27001 certification for a third time – official recognition that we have continued to reach the industry standard, in information security management, a year on!
The ISO (International Standards Organization) 27000 family of standards recognises organisations that keep ‘information assets’ safe and secure. The 27001 certification proves we have put in place a systematic approach to processing, managing, and protecting the information you and your employees share with us.
As part of the certification, our offices were audited by accredited ISO consultants in September 2022. The auditor praised our senior management for their “drive and determination to achieve excellence in information security, and for their knowledge of how information security considerations must be embedded in all processes and behaviours – both Firesand’s own and those of their customers.”
Matthew Holloway, Firesand’s Chief Operations Officer and ISO 27001 project champion, said: “This certification is tangible proof of the regard each and every team member has for the security and value of the data we hold. We all recognise that personal data, in particular, is precious, and this certification demonstrates our commitment to handling it with care, consideration and respect."
It also materially demonstrates that the requirements and ‘best practice’ aspects of data protection law are firmly embedded in our processes and thinking, at a time where the data security landscape is constantly evolving and subject to growing scrutiny, with ever increasing responsibilities for Data Processors and Controllers becoming a critical focus for us and our customers alike.”
We believe there are already many reasons why we should be your data privacy and cybersecurity partner of choice – and this ISO27001 certification has just added to them!
