The worlds’ largest global information privacy community, the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), has awarded its highly regarded Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) designation to Firesand Director Chris Blake.
The IAPP awards FIP designation only to candidates who have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of privacy laws, privacy program management and essential data protection practice, through successful completion of IAPP credentials.
Additionally, FIP candidates must have gained proven on-the-job experience navigating the complexities of the highly dynamic privacy arena – which, most recently, has included GDPR in the UK.
Chris, who leads the development and design of Firesand’s services, is one of only a handful of FIP-designated specialists in the UK.
“It feels great to have received such a select designation,” he says, “but I’m also proud that we’re now one of the very few specialists to offer our customers privacy expertise and insight that is certified, which is critical in a post-GDPR landscape.”
